Two Zero One Two.

Celebrating the new year has always been one thing I loved since I was a child, I especially love having great food, being with family and the breath taking fireworks! Its really so amazing how time goes by so fast, I can’t even believe were starting a new year already! But anyway, Here’s a photo blog about my new year’s eve!

Its quite a long post so click read more if you’re interested!

So pretty much my celebrations like this always start with putting on Make-up, holidays are always a good excuse to do whatever you’d want! and well I just simply love it :) Btw, I just got that Laura Mercier foundation a few days back and I’m so in love with it!! Worth the P1,500+ :) The photo next to it is a photo I took from outside our chapel, well it isn’t really obvious but whatever. Going to church during New Year would always confuse me because New Year isn’t really a Christian holiday but it’s been such a tradition to go to church every New Years for our family since I was a child, and it would just feel weird if we didn’t go! I hope you all went to church too to thank God for all the blessings he gave this past year :)

After church we headed to my grandma’s house to meet with some of our relatives from my mom’s side to have dinner. Its always been our thing to meet during Christmas eve and New Years eve as well! They are such good company but it always breaks my heart seeing how fast my little cousins are growing up! I actually feel like I’m growing older now :(

We got a bit excited with those like “magic wands” and the shutter speed of my 450D so we experimented around with it! It took me forever just to get the letter J on a photo, Its really not that easy air-writing upside down =)) It was really fun though :)

After grandma’s we went back home to light some fireworks and have dinner AGAIN! This holiday weight gain is really not good for me :(

It is really really tricky to take photo’s of fireworks but I especially like these two that I took. The first one reminds me of some kind of constellation and the second actually looks like a huge monster to me =)) Can you see it too?

You might be wondering why theres a picture of the chocolate drink Chuckie and a picture of my Cookie Monster hat here, but they’re actually traditions that my family hold during the new year. When my brother, sister and I were still young Chuckie was one of our favorite drinks and we’d aways request to have it during the new year and I guess it just stuck from then on :) plus I still love it until now!! And the hats were always something that our mom would make us wear cause she’s paranoid that fireworks would somehow land on our head, forever the paranoid mom =)) But to make it less lame we would wear funny hats instead :) This one is extra special cause I love cookie monster and it was a pasalubong from my boyfriend when he went to the states last summer :) If you’re reading this, thank you so much for this! and also for finding the time to call me at exactly midnight just to greet me :)

and thats kind of all I did for new years eve :) Its just simple but nothing beats great company, great food and watching fireworks. I hope you had a great one like I did! I’m really so blessed to have everything I have right now. 2011 was such a roller coaster year but I’m still so grateful! Cant wait to see what 2012 has in store! Hopefully the world dosent really end so I can actually experience it :)
